The 2008 Prepaid Card Expo’s Workshop sessions have been organized into four thematic series, to help you easily identify the workshops that are most applicable to your needs. Feel free to attend all three workshops in a single series, or pick and choose among any of the other three series. As a registered Prepaid Card Expo attendee, you are also allowed to attend any of the sessions taking place at the co-located CDHC Expo.

Workshop Series – Prepaid Basics

In this Workshop Series, you’ll hear discussion and insight on the history, structure, current environment, and major trends involving all things prepaid. You’ll leave these workshops with a clear understanding of how the major network branded prepaid cards view the space, practical advice and strategies on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues, and a primer on setting up a network-branded (open-loop) or gift card (closed-loop) prepaid card program.

 

Workshop Series – Advanced Prepaid Strategies

Designed for those who have experience in prepaid, this workshop series will let you dig into topics addressing the fine-tuning and revision of your prepaid programs. Within the workshops, you will have the opportunity to evaluate trends in payments, assess and hear new strategies for card distribution and loading networks, and will hear from both open- and closed-loop processors on the new technologies and services being offered to drive prepaid program successes.

 

Workshop Series – Global Perspectives

The marketplace for prepaid products and services has exploded, yet there are literally thousands of significant untapped opportunities in markets around the globe. In this series, you’ll have the opportunity to hear about products and services being launched in Europe, Asia & Australia, and Latin America. Moreover, you’ll learn about the various legal and regulatory issues you must contend with in each region, and will leave with a clear picture of the financial, industry, and customer-behavior trends at work in each region.

 

Workshop Series – Multi-Industry Focus

For financial institutions, service providers, attorneys, marketers, and processors with a cross-industry client base, understanding how to market and sell your cards to disparate industry vertical segments is a key element factoring into your overall success. In these three workshops, you’ll hear top marketing and sales experts discuss prepaid programs for retailers, corporate and consumer cards, b2b card programs, and other new applications that require significant planning and deft execution to make a memorable market entry.
